Our beloved German Shepard, HEXI, was terrified of loud noises, but being an extremely intelligent dog, she opened room doors with her paws and car doors with her teeth to be with family or in the insulation of a car. Once we found her in the basement shower stall and have since called it her “bomb shelter”. She was trained by the Los Angeles police academy but after we adopted her we moved to Colorado where she preferred to chase rabbits instead of suspects. She loved to be in the water, snow, or by our side. She was sweet and loving to all. RIP Sweetness.
